Have you ever seen a fire in a hi-rise building? Some people choose to jump to certain death instead of burning to death. That is what suicide is. Someone chooses to kill themselves instead of being tortured to death by a malfunctioning brain. As far as suicide being selfish…. that’s a laugh. The suicidal person’s brain is working at such a diminished and twisted level that they do not have the capacity to be “selfish”. To be selfish a person would need the ability to choose a course of action that would produce an effect that the person desired. Desire is one of the emotions that a suicidal person is incapable of. A feeling of having no emotions at all is typical of a suicidal individual. Time to get out of the dark ages and see that depression, suicide, cutting , etc. is the outward manifestation of a malfunctioning brain. It is a disease, it is not a measure of a person’s “character”.
